Tax & Accounting Professionals has an ambition to make a difference to the lives of poor students living in the islands of Fiji, where Mohammed Taiyab the Principal of TAAP was born. Coming from a poverty stricken background and having struggled himself for funds to complete his education, he can very well relate to the suffering of the poor. He understands how helpless a student who cannot afford to pay school fees or text books may feel. Unlike many others, who would see it as the student's problem, Mohammed feels that it is absolutely essential for us to make sure that a young student who is ambitious and capable gets the necessary resources. We all need something to believe in, something that elicits whole hearted enthusiasm and Tax & Accounting Professionals believes in education for all.
Great things are a series of small things brought together. The small things that we do, like paying fees and buying text books etc. would have a bigger impact on the society. We believe that our investment in education of young students would give them the possibility of finding meaningful employment opportunities in Fiji as well as overseas. No matter where these young people choose to work they will ultimately contribute to their families and the growing economy of Fiji. This contribution will create further possibilities for many generations after them. This is how our work will continue.
In the words of Warren Buffet, richest man in the world, 'Someone is enjoying shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago'. We are that someone, planting that tree today and hope that the future generations will enjoy the shade.
We all have capacities, talents, direction, mission and callings in life. We at Tax & Accounting Professionals believe that all of us are well equipped to make a difference if we choose to do so. Most of us living in the developed world have good jobs and other resources like education, networks and wealth that is most needed by the poor students of Fiji Islands. I would like to make an appeal to all those who are reading this and feel for the cause, to spare a thought and donate their wealth generously so that the poor students could enjoy benefits of getting educated and employed in the future.
As some one has rightly said If you don't like the way the world is, you change it. You just do it one step at a time. We encourage you to take the first step towards creating a better world for the poor with us. We guarantee that as you make these valuable contributions into lives of other people, some one will think about you and your unique situation. Some one will very well listen to your heart and think about ways of making your life simpler and better.
There are numerous ways to make a contribution; you can be a sponsor for one of our charitable events organised twice every year or donate text books, uniform etc for students. If you would like to have a fun filled evening, then you could buy tickets for your family and friends to enjoy our charitable events known as Bollywood night of dinner and entertainment. All proceeds of the event go to the students.
